All Rise (2019– )

Horrible writing
25 October 2019
What a waste. The show has great recognizable actors but the writing is terrible. Too unbelievable, not enough character growth and terrible plot lines. I wanted to like it, what a shame.

Super addictive

I love the friendship between the characters! Also, the look, style, script and acting was excellent. I discovered this on Netflix, hoping for season 2.

The acting and plot line was incredible
23 September 2019
The acting, writing and plot/sub plots of this mini series were incredible. There were some scenes that ran slightly too long, but overall it was super addictive (I binge-watched throughout the entire weekend). The ending could have tied up a few loose ends, but maybe there'll be a season 2.

Disney movie with swear words
24 June 2019
This felt like a Disney movie with swear words, definitely not Black Mirror. I liked the first 2 episodes of the season, but it was like this was written by completely different writers for a different series...

Samson (2018)

Could only get through 30 minutes, it's very innacurate
24 June 2019
Warning: Spoilers
I saw this available for streaming on Netflix and could only get through the first half hour, it's very inaccurate. Samsung doesnt have a younger brother; in fact, the Bible says he told his parents he wanted to get with the Philistine women -- his brother didn't go off and look for her.

Also, they showed that the first Philistine women who he was interested in was the one to encourage him/make him think about his role as being a leader/delivering his people, also inaccurate. They also show him as being pretty weak in the opening scenes, like he doesnt know how strong he could be. I'll pass.

Sick Note (2017– )

Probably one of the best shows I've seen on Netflix
9 June 2019
I'm not as familiar with British humor but this show is so we'll done, it deserves much more praise -- the acting, the cast, the writing/plot had me hooked, I binge-watched the entire series. I know there was press in the U.S. when Lindsey Lohan joined the cast, but this show should get much more recognition in North America. Please let there be a season 3!!

Predictable but a good family movie
24 November 2018
It wasnt the best movie...it was very predictable (movie writers and studios should start getting fresh content, or look for a fresh spin on old ideas), but compared to some of the other boring christmas movies out there it wasnt that bad. It's definitely a good movie to watch with the family/kids.

A Diva's Christmas Carol (2000 TV Movie)

Probably one of the best Christmas movies
17 November 2018
Vanessa Williams plays the hottest scrooge you'll ever see. This movie was too much fun and a great take on A Christmas Carol -- entertaining, funny and decent acting for a Christmas movie. Much better than some of the super boring cheesy hallmark movies out today.

Had high hopes, but this was terrible
10 November 2018
I like how the characters are multicultural, but this was VERY boring. Nothing happens, it's cliche, dry and extremely boring. Like watching paint dry.

Death Note (I) (2017)

The worst adaptation taken from an anime series that I've ever seen
26 August 2017
Probably the worst adaptation taken from an anime series that I've ever seen -- I'm betting the director didn't watch the full original series. That's fine, but they shouldn't have called this Death Note because it's completely different from the anime series that die hard fans have come to love and were expecting with the live adaptation. The writing is horrible, the acting is poor and rushed and the characters aren't believable. I'd have less of an issue of the story taking place in America if the plot was somewhat interesting. This wasn't Death Note, it was more like Final Destination 6.
