The Morning Show: The Interview (2019)
This was certainly an explosive and action-packed finale, but was it "good"? I don't know if I can go that far. These characters all are so flawed that there was no real hero to root for here.
Single Parents continues to underwhelm in its second season. The formula here was the same as every week: 3-4 jokes that land, and the rest don't.
Truth Be Told: Live Thru This (2020)
Well, there was at least something unexpected we got here, but overall this show is trending downward in quality at the worst possible time. They've deviated too far from the premise and plot ever since they had that epic shooting earlier in the season.
Truth Be Told: All That Was Lost (2020)
Truth Be Told did not have this season mapped out well because they struggled to even write 8 episodes of content. No major twists, no big time acting, this was just an underwhelming finale.
Single Parents: Chunkies (2020)
Graham and his father had some good chemistry, but whatever they were doing with Angie today was a mess. Not nearly enough of the twins here tonight either.
Single Parents: The Angie-Man (2020)
The Angie Man
A few funny moments in this episode, but another generic sitcom premise that couldn't live up to the classics that have done it much better.
If there is such a thing as devoting an episode too much to football this was that. I like the sport, but basing almost every minute to it was a mistake and probably turned off some viewers.
Must Be Held Accountable
An entertaining episode even if it wasn't all that well-written. Rollins is not letting a dangerous guy go free of his volition knowing he could do a similar thing again.
She Paints for Vengeance
At least they acknowledged how ridiculous it is that Carisi is immediately doing high-profile cases, but they still need to add a real DA to the cast. They are not trusting a new lawyer with important matters like this.
The Conor McGregor return was everything that ESPN and UFC could have hoped for and we are seeing that here. Someone who is not a top fighter anymore is getting endless media coverage.
The Evolution of Coaching
They did touch on some things, but I felt like there was so much to cover that they didn't here. There is a lot more to coaching than George Halas and I would have liked a look at some of the current coaches.
The Immaculate Reception
A well-done episode highlighting one of the infamous plays in NFL history. This deserved its own episode and they paid the ultimate respect by showing us how crazy some of the key players involved still get over it.
Nets vs. Pistons
This looked to be the same formula as every Nets disappointment this year: they lead heading into the 4th and then collapse. Only this time was different as the Nets rallied back and put it away in overtime. A huge road win and maybe this can change their fortunes moving forward.
Jack Ryan: Strongman (2019)
It wasn't a terrible finale, but this summed up the season as a whole: a line or two that makes you chuckle, a few scenes that are okay, but just so much drawn out nonsense that by the end you don't even care about the bad guys getting justice.
Jack Ryan: Dios y Federación (2019)
The pacing of this season is so bad because we finally had the action ramp up and finally had some good moments, but it was still just too long and drawn out for me to really care.
Jack Ryan: Persona Non Grata (2019)
It is hard to make action in the jungle and toppling a corrupt government boring, but Jack Ryan is doing that this season. This season is just the definition of mediocre episode after episode.
Jack Ryan: Blue Gold (2019)
There was at least a little bit of action int his episode, but this season's stories are just so bad that it is hard to get invested even in the scenes that should be fun.
Criminal Minds: Saturday (2020)
After last week's disaster they gave us another episode that was goofy and had no substance or story.
After such a strong start to the season Criminal Minds is showing its age in the worst possible way.
Jack Ryan: Dressed to Kill (2019)
Dressed to Kill
Changing Jack's locale did improve things a little bit, but once again the show has no idea of what to do with the second season and would benefit from going back to basics and less complication moving forward.
WWE NXT: Episode #13.48 (2019)
As expected, NXT dominated at the PPV as WWE is afraid of AEW as competition, but they didn't really follow it up with a strong post-show offering.
WWE NXT: Episode #13.49 (2019)
Kushida has no momentum right now which is disappointing as this was a huge signing for NXT.
Killian Dain is also lost. They should have kept Sanity together as it was the best for all four of them.
Jack Ryan: Orinoco (2019)
This show needs to make it more clear what the actual mission is and not just present the "villains" as generic corrupt politicians. Give us something we haven't seen before because this just feels like a bad version of Narcos.
Jack Ryan: Tertia Optio (2019)
It was just too much in this episode. Jack Ryan surviving being drowned and then a bag over his head for over a minute on both fronts was just too ridiculous.
WWE NXT: Episode #13.50 (2019)
I am glad that Lio Rush is no longer Cruiserweight Champion as him immediately getting the title so quickly after his return was insulting, as was his title reign, but the match itself was mediocre.
NXT has some momentum and is outdelivering AEW most weeks, but this was just an average episode.
Barry: berkman > block (2019)
It was an interesting finale for sure, but Barry killing all of those gang members with ease was just too ridiculous. I also don't like how they essentially gave up on the Monroe character moving forward. Not sure how they can keep him around for the full third season now.
